Hongzhou Eadry Resort Hotel, Sanya: Review And Photos

Hongzhou Eadry Resort Hotel or simply Eadry Resort is located in the heart of Sanya, on an islet sandwiched by Sanya River and Linchun River.  This islet is well connected to the other parts of town by bridges.
Its location is ideal as it is close to major attractions. It is within walking distance to the bridges, the markets, supermarkets, the harbour and the beaches. It is also easy to find eateries and to get public transport to popular tourist destinations. The only setback about the location is the noise as vehicles honk non-stop and staying on the lower floors of the hotel can be quite annoying. We stayed on the 13th floor and could still hear the honks albeit very faintly.
The main entrance into the hotel faces a quiet street.
The side entrance faces a harbour and Sanya River. Sanya Bridge with a heavy traffic flow is just 50 metres away.
Eadry Resort has a very expansive lobby. Upon checking-in a deposit of CNY500 is collected which is returned upon checking-out. There is a compulsory government tax of 11CNY per person per night in addition to the room rate. The receptionist and other staffs do not speak English but the overall service is commendable.
Hotel furnishing tends to be oriental.
There is a section of the lobby where traditional weaving is demonstrated everyday and finished tribal products are on display for sale. They tends to be more expensive than in the market area though.
The hotel is serviced by 4 elevators.
There are a few lovely and well landscaped gardens and fish ponds within the hotel premise.
This hotel is designed to give a resort feel to its guests.
The main theme of garden decor is the elephants as we see many statues of elephants all over the premise.
There are a few boutiques within the lobby area but sales appear sluggish as the city shops and supermarkets are just nearby.
The F&B outlets include the Time Bar, a place where you can also have tea in Chinese style. The rate is rather high and we chose to dine out all the time.

Another F&B outlet is the Hong Kong Restaurant.
Coast No 1 is the hotel's western restaurant. Buffet breakfast are served here every morning. Our room did not come with breakfast and we choose not to dine here as the rate is 88CNY pp (RM53) which is rather high.
The recreational facilities of the hotel are found on the 3rd floor. There is an infinity-edge swimming pool and a pool bar. There is also a fish therapy pool adjacent to it.
There is a small fitness centre, a spa, ping pong, mahjong and card games as well. Some are pay services but most are free for hotel guests.
An artistic hotel decor that attracted me
We stayed in a suite with river view. There are suites with garden view, and suites with sea view. The unit is spacious and comfortable.
There are two air-conditioners, one for the bedroom and one for the lounge. The bed is comfortable but the bedside tables are a bit small.
The wardrobe is a bit narrow and there is not enough space to keep all our things. There is a safety box inside.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available and 2 bottles of bottled water and sachets of tea/coffee are replenished on a daily basis.
Items other than those mentioned are chargeable.
The room comes with a spacious and clean washroom with windows that overlook the city and river.
The shower cubicle is big and the heater functions well. Towels are changed and toiletries replenished on a daily basis.
Toiletries provided
The room comes with a big balcony with a very good view of the city.
