Bali Attractions: Babi Guling, Anyone?

Most of my friends who returned from Bali would be talking about babi guling.
Babi guling is actually roasted whole pig (I wouldn't say suckling pig as what I see looks more like big, mature ones).  It is an authentic Balinese cuisine and it is definitely very popular among the locals there.
I need to understand why the hype about babi guling and had wanted to try the famous and probably over-commercialized one at Ibu Oka in Ubud. To my disappointment, the route in my itinerary did not permit me to dine there. I had to settle for a babi guling meal at a roadside stall on my way back from Bedegul.
Depot Betty which was introduced by my driver is probably unheard of by tourists.
I was totally unexcited, very sceptical and prejudiced and that was why I totally forgot to take a photo of this stall.
Liver, skin cracker, crispy skin, pork pieces, a few types of savoury condiments..
and a bowl of pork and radish soup.. So is this what babi guling is all about?
Prejudiced as I was, I have to admit that it didn't taste bad at all. In fact, the accompanying condiments were savoury and very appetizing. This meal cost IDR20000.
Just to make sure I didn't miss out on "the right babi guling" , I went for a 2nd babi guling meal on my last day in Bali. On our way to the airport, we stopped by Warung Babi Guling Ella at Jalan Raya Uluwatu Jimbaran (directly opposite Pertamina Petrol Kiosk). This place seems to be doing well judging from a non-stop stream of locals patronizing it (mostly takeaways).
Served quite differently from the 1st one but with more or less the same items except for the satay this meal cost IDR25000.
After 2 meals of babi guling I'm ready to give my verdict. The pork slices are not great on its own.
It is the accompanying condiments such as this that gives you the "kick" when you eat it.
