Ergife Palace is located in the quieter part of Rome, about 4km from the city centre. It is quite a big hotel with a total of 704 rooms. The various floors are serviced by elevators that are somewhat sluggish. Fortunately we stayed on the first floor and the stairs is just next to our room. It is always faster to use the stairs.
The Double Room is quite small measuring only 19 sq metres. Since we were out most of the time the size didn't really matter. Anyway the air-conditioner function well and the bed is quite comfortable.
Room facilities include a safety box and a mini-bar. There are no coffee or tea making facilities. Neither is bottled water available. However Wifi usage is complimentary.
The room and washroom are quite clean. The heater functions well and basic toiletries are provided.
The hotel facilities include a swimming pool and a pool bar. The pool is large and the poolside area looks very nice.
Another very nice feature about the hotel is the expansive lobby with many small lounges for its guests.
Small lounges with comfortable seats like these are placed along the entire stretch of the lobby.
There is also a lounge bar on the lobby floor.
Another nice feature of the hotel is the boutique at the centre of the lobby that sells a variety of things that most ladies would love.
The items are also reasonably priced.
The hotel restaurant serve buffet breakfast every morning.
There is a good quantity of food but the quality is just satisfactory.
We get to eat a simple but satisfactory breakfast meal each morning.
I stayed here for two nights and find the hotel generally pleasant. For guests without transport, Cornelia Metro Station is just a 10 to 15 minutes walk away. The nearest bus-stop is 200 metres away. The staffs are pleasant and the hotel is not too far away from Vatican City (4.5km) and Rome City Centre.
