If you are planning a winter getaway, it is imperative to put up in accommodation where room and shower heaters are consistently tiptop to ensure a comfortable stay. To be denied a good warm bath after a tiring and cold day out would really be a holiday spoiler for me.
A Review Of The Accommodation And Buffet Breakfast At The Longemont Hotel, Shenyang
The Longemont Hotel is among an array of good hotels available in Shenyang.
This is also the hotel where I lodged for two nights.
The location is ideal as it is in the city centre and just a minute's walk to Cloud Nine Shopping Mall where you can find endless shopping and ample dining options.
The reception lobby was brightly illuminated and adorned with beautiful chandeliers. The floor seemed to sparkle under the incandescent light and though not excessively decorated the overall ambiance did exude a tinge of luxury.
Our room, a 'Business Twin Room' on the 29th floor has a floor space of 50 sq metres, is fully carpeted and comes with facilities most four or five star hotels would provide.
View of the city from our room.
The washroom is equally spacious and comes with a separate toilet and shower cubicle.
More importantly, the heater served us well.
There are coffee and tea making facilities and on the house are complimentary sachets of coffee, tea and bottled water. Wifi is available in the room and it is also free.
Buffet Breakfast - Review
Our room came with buffet breakfast in the hotel's in-house 'All Day' Restaurant'.
Jilin Pt 2: The Snow Of JilinBuffet Breakfast - Review
Our room came with buffet breakfast in the hotel's in-house 'All Day' Restaurant'.
I simply loved the bread houses created as decor for the festive season. In appreciation of the effort put in to make this a wonderful dining place I walked around to admire the bakery chefs' creations before settling down to dine.
On another counter top was a display of a reindeer sleigh befitting Christmas which was just a day away.
There were many food stations with a wide selection of food that cater to the different palates.
There were so many things to eat but you have to be selective to enjoy a great breakfast before venturing out to the cold. (temperature outside the hotel during time of my travel: -14°C to -4°C)
