Bedegul is a mountainous area. The highlights of this region are the beautiful Beratan Lake and Pura Ulun Danu which is built at the edge of it.
I enjoyed the journey up the lake. Looking at the calm of the valleys and village houses below was enlightening indeed.
An entrance fee of IDR30,000/person has to be paid to enter the Lake/temple area.
Pura Ulun Danu and Beratan Lake is undeniably a beautiful sight to behold.
Pura Ulun Danu was built is 1663 and it stands magnificently at the edge of Beratan Lake which is about 4900 feet above sea level.

The well kept garden around the lake.
There are shops in the vicinity that sells apparels and souvenirs.
We made a pit stop at Candikuning Fruit and Vegetables market. This market is very near to Beratan Lake.
Souvenir items are also sold here.
