Prince Hotel & Residence KL: Premier Executive Privilege Package

I was here 7 months ago during which time I complained tons - from rude security guard &  poor concierge service to lifts that didn't  function well & poor breakfast cuisines. It was a weekend turned awry indeed so I can't believe I'm back, now staying 1 night in Premier Executive Room in the same hotel.
I do not know whether they have solved the parking system for patrons who drive their own vehicles as this time we decided to head straight for the visitors' parking floor instead of the guests' parking floor and get our ticket endorsed for free parking just before checking out. This worked out just fine.
The receptionist who attended to us was friendly and (excessively) polite.
The Premier Executive Package offered by the hotel entitles you to the exclusive use of the Premier Executive Lounge which is located on the 4th floor.
Premier Executive Privilege Package guests have the option of checking-in and checking-out at this lounge  instead of the normal check-in at the hotel lobby.
Expresso, coffee, tea and juices are served throughout the day in this Premier Executive Lounge and they are complimentary.
Snacks are served from 12.00-3.00pm. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous
portion and assortment available.
I enjoyed the snacks. Most items tasted good.
The Executive Lounge is not only spacious, it is also tastefully furnished.
The lounge is equipped with computers and offers unlimited usage of broadband and WIFI internet access and office facilities like the printer and fax machine.
This package is ideal for businessmen as it also comes with one hour complimentary usage of the boardroom. (meeting room)
On top of that there is access to a full range of international newspapers and magazines.
Evening cocktail drinks and canapes which is served from 6-8pm is also complimentary.
There is a good choice of wine, juices, tea, coffee and a generous selection of delectable food. This package is worthwhile.
We stayed on the 18th floor. Using the lift this time is hassle free. Looks like the management has ironed out problems mentioned in my earlier post.
Our room, "No 1825" is a corner unit.
The Premier Executive Room measuring 54 sq metre is definitely bigger, and nicer than the Deluxe Room I stayed in 7 months ago.
I really appreciate the crisp white spotless bed linen.
 The room is stylishly designed.
Annexed to the bedroom is the washroom and the closet.
The closet is spacious compared to the one in the deluxe room.  An iron and ironing board is available but  this package also entitles you to complimentary 3 pieces laundry or dry-cleaning service.
A dressing table is placed in this cozy corner just outside the washroom.
There is a bathtub and a separate shower cubicle in the washroom.
Bath amenities come in beautiful packaging.
There is a mini-bar and a coffee & snack corner here.
All the items except alcohol are given free with this Premier Package.
These too are complimentary. Other complimentary items include broadband and WIFI internet access, newspapers and local phone calls.
This is the hotel swimming pool. Please refer to my earlier posting to see other facilities available in this hotel.
This is Eccucino Restaurant. We have the option of taking our breakfast here or in the Executive Premier Lounge. We opted for the latter as our dining experience here wasn't a good one 7 months ago.
Breakfast is semi buffet and semi a la carte with menu as shown above.
These are available on the buffet table together with other types of patisserie, cereals and fruits.
This is our choice from the a la carte menu.
This is another choice available on the a la carte menu. This dim sum looks good but taste very average. Do not opt for this if you are here.
This is a nice carving of a dragon boat. It was and it is still here at the hotel lobby.

The difference in rate between a normal deluxe room and the Premier Executive Room is only about RM250 but the privilege and service you get from the P.E Package is a world of difference from what you get staying in a normal deluxe room. After the pampering this time, I almost forgot the unpleasant things I encountered in this very same hotel 7 months ago. This Premier Executive Privilege Package is a good option for potential hotel seekers who want "the extras".  There is also an overall improvement seen in the concierge service, etc . Thumbs up to the GM, Mr Tim Quarm for taking pains to make Prince Hotel a choice hotel once again, at least to me.

Not all hotels are up to the mark though. You can browse through all my hotel postings. There are obvious differences in service and facilities among the hotels.
