Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong Memorial

Mention Gunung Ulu Kali and I'm sure people would be asking "Where about is that?" as Gunung Ulu Kali is virtually unheard of. On the other hand it is almost impossible for any Malaysian not to know where Genting Highland is. All credit goes to this man by the name of Lim Goh Tong who founded Genting Highland and made the unknown Gunung Ulu Kali into what it is today. 

We decided to drop by the memorial of this great guy to pay tribute to him. The memorial is located at Gohtong Jaya just beside the trunk road going up the peak.

A statue of the man was created and placed at the centre of the memorial.

Huge tablets depicting the biography of Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong was exhibited on the right hand side.

We took the opportunity to read about his life history and it was impressive indeed.

A few rows of orchid plants were placed to adorn the memorial.
