A Nice Attraction: Promenade des Anglais and Cours Saleya

The old town of Nice or Vieux Nice in France is lively and full of vivacity. Located on the French Riviera facing the Mediterranean Sea, this place enjoys beautiful Mediterranean climate with mild temperatures throughout the year.

Promenade Des Anglais
Promenade Des Anglais is a popular seafront walkway that stretches a few kilometres around The Bay Of Angels. People were seen relaxing by the beach, taking casual strolls, cycling and rollerblading. Some were angling, and a small number were still swimming even though it was getting late.
Colourful cafes, restaurants, shops and hotels line the promenade.
This is also a good place to watch the sunset. Seen here: three wheeler public transport waiting for customers.
Some residential units at the promenade

Cours Saleya
Just behind and towards the east of the promenade is Cours Saleya. This half street half square area was bustling with shoppers and diners.
Business seemed robust as cafes and restaurants were packed to the brim.
We were going to dine here too. The restaurant chosen was Bistro Romain at 36, Cours Saleya.
Emmm, the starters were not bad.
The main course was fish and french beans, a healthy diet indeed.
Our dessert.
And coffee to stay alert.
We didn't spend a long time here and left for our hotel after dinner.

Le Negresco, a beautiful hotel along the promenade.
Le Tono is a restaurant we passed by in another part of town.
