What I did at Cannes, France.

Cannes (pronounced as 'can' as in a can of tuna and not 'cans') is located on the French Riviera facing the glistening Mediterranean Sea. It has a Mediterranean climate with long sunny summers and short mild winters making it a popular holiday destination for many beach revelers.
These are the things I did on a day out in Cannes.

1. Visit Palais des Festivals et des Congres.
Cannes is famous for its international film festivals. Palais des Festivals et des Congres (so hard to pronounce) is a building built to host the Cannes Film Festival. The first Palais des Festivals et des Congres was built in 1949. Shown here is the new Palais des Festivals et des Congres which was built in 1979. The international festival is held here every year to encourage the development of the art of film making and to foster the spirit of collaboration among all film making countries.
Cannes has its own Walk Of Fame. This Walk Of Fame features more than 370 handprints of celebrities and it is located along Rue Des Etoiles (The Street Of Stars) that winds its way around the Palais des Festivals et des Congres.
This handprint belongs to Julie Andrew, the main actress of my all time favorite movie The Sound Of Music.

2. Walk The Streets Of The City
This is the newer part of Cannes. The streets are very narrow but it is a great place for shoppers.

3.Have Lunch In A Chinese Restaurant
We had a typical Chinese meal in Restaurant Le Jardin de Bambou located at No 16, Rue Mace.

4. Walk Along Boulevard de la Croisette
Boulevard de la Croisette is a long stretch of seafront road. Apartments, hotels and restaurants line this busy stretch of road and of course, the beach is just in front.

5. See The Fun Activities At The Beach
The beach is a fun filled place with a whole load of beach revelers, swimming and sun tanning under the hot summer sun.
Malaysians shun the sun but these people just couldn't get enough of it.
And where do Malaysians hangout? A shady place like this perhaps.

6. Eat A French Ice- Cream
And what could be better than delighting in an ice-cream to cool you down on a hot summer day.
