Medan Travel Part 2: A Visit To Maimoon Palace


Maimoon Palace is probably the No 1 tourist attraction in Medan city. This 2 storey palace which was  built in 1888 by the Sultan of Deli comprise a main building, a left and a right wing with 30-40 rooms. Only the main building is opened to visitors.
This palace features ceiling and walls with eye-catching colours, beautiful designs and arches.
Portraits of the sultan are seen hanging at a few places.

This small building outside the palace used to house the sacred canon.
