I have often heard of South Africa's Sun City and finally got to visit it.
Sun City is not a city per se but a privately owned resort which is gated and which you will have to pay R60 per adult to enter.
There are a number of hotels, a casino, more than 2 dozen restaurants and seven bars within this resort. There is also a shopping mall and a golf course but the highlight of this resort is 'Valley Of Waves', a water park with a man-made beach and artificial waves. This place reminds me of Sunway Lagoon in my home country as there are similarities here and there; in the setting, decor as well as concept. Apparently this is a favourite holiday destination among the South African locals but as for me..... I'm glad a visit here has enlightened me but other than that it's a destination I don't think I'll miss even if I'd skipped it.
I explored a few places and took some photographs but most of the time I was 'lepakking' [hanging out] at the golf course resort.
