Wow Montenegro!. I didn't expect it to be that beautiful. I just couldn't take my eyes off the views outside my bus windows. Since coming to the Balkans, it was the first time I got to experience a drive along the rivieras and Montenegro rivieras are simply stupendous!.
Less than an hour's drive after the Muriqan - Sukobin border crossing [from Albania into Montenegro], we reached the coastal road of Montenegro.
The south western part of Montenegro is bordered by the Adriatic Sea and the road that runs parallel to the coastline offers very stunning views of the mountains, beaches, coves, and small towns that dot its rivieras.
From the coastal town of Bar, our bus cruised passed little towns like Petrovac, Przno, Sveti Stefan and Budva before arriving at Kotor for lunch. Montenegro has 293 km of coast and 73 beaches and tourism is its major industry. I drool at these gems waiting to be explored but aah (sigh....) I shall have to content with these fleeting images that I took from my moving bus as we visited Montenegro in a hurry and left in a hurry too.

Restaurant Vidikovac
After a breathtaking ride through Montenegro's coastlines, the bus stopped at a small restaurant that stands isolated on a quiet hill in Skaljari, Kotor. This was the restaurant I took my lunch in that day.
An ordinary restaurant with quite ordinary tasting food would take anyone by surprise as the view is extraordinary and one to die for.
