Club Himalaya is one of the better and more expensive hotels in Nagarkot. Though a bit dated, this hotel is well maintained and has amenities for a very comfortable stay. It stands on Windy Hill and offers a great view of the Himalayan Range from its terraces. It is one of the few hotels where you can view the sunrise as well as the sunset. Its location is considered ideal as it is just 400 meters to the hub of Nagarkot Village. It is also nearer to Nagarkot View Tower compared to other Nagarkot hotels.
Below are some memory photos of Club Himalaya.
The Hotel Lounge is spacious and cosy.
Each room has its own balcony. Mine faces the east and is good for viewing the sunrise.
Cleanliness is commendable.
This is the shared patio outside my room.
There is a swimming pool and a jacuzzi, located just below the restaurant.
The poolside area is well decorated with children's paintings on its walls.
The hotel shop is located near the entrance.
The hotel restaurant offers daily buffet as well as a la carte meals. The food is pretty delicious but comes with a 23% service charge and VAT tax.
The hotel serves a selection of Chinese, Indian, Nepalese and Continental cuisines. This set meal called Dal Bhat is a Nepalese national cuisine.
Breakfast cuisine is quite delectable and comes with a good selection.
The hotel is spread across a few wings. I went around admiring some of its decors.
The bar lounge is well appointed and is a good hideaway in the hotel as it is quiet here.
Posing with the friendly bar attendant.
There is a courtyard outside one of the blocks.
The only setback about the hotel is guests have to climb a flight of steps before reaching the lobby. There is no elevator in the entire hotel.
This is one of the views taken at the terrace.
Waiting at the terrace to view the sunrise can be quite cold.
A spectacular sunrise is well worth the wait.
