What I Like About Moscow

It's not the food nor the culture that I love most about Moscow. Its people are not that likable either. As I mentioned in my introductory post, they are neither friendly nor helpful and most would not bother to return your smile no matter how broad you grin at them. (Sorry if you are a Moscovite and you are reading this)

The thing I love most about Moscow are its buildings and monuments most of which look like architectural masterpieces to me. I wish I could see such astounding buildings around the place I live in. Putting aside the famous heritage buildings that tourists throng to see by the thousands, even the not famous ones along random streets look amazing. Moscow is a real wonder as far as building technology is concerned. I believe it took pains to build the best.

Here are glimpses of the city and of streets taken at random. Almost all the photos posted below are taken from a moving bus while we were cruising the city.

Even the modern buildings are not less amazing.

A Few Fun Facts About Moscow
1. Moscow is a very modern city now but in the midst of a busy area you can still see
people like this woman selling traditional shoes.
2. It is surprising to learn that this dumpling is a traditional cuisine in Moscow.  (I
    thought it is very Chinese)
3. Some of the fruits sold in the supermarkets are really huge. The largest oranges I
have ever seen are seen in Moscow.
