Double Tree by Hilton Venice-North : Review And Photos

I stayed in Double Tree by Hilton Venice North for one night while touring Venice. This hotel is located on the quiet outskirt of Venice about 24km from Piazzale Roma, the gateway to Venice Islands where all the tourist attractions are. The first setback of this hotel is its location as it is considered pretty far from the city centre. Getting public transport or using the pay shuttle service provided by the hotel may be the only option for visitors without their own vehicles. It is however not too far from Venice Marco Polo Airport (14km away).
Double Tree is a curved building, stylish and contemporary in design.
Checking in was a breeze over a reception counter that serve guests on opposite sides. The staffs are generally helpful.
Handing out chocolate chip cookies upon checking-in is a warm gesture by the hotel. And these tasted real crispy and yummy.
There are elevators that service the various floors of the hotel.  We stayed in a Deluxe King Room, measuring 269 sq ft, with floor to ceiling windows and wooden panel flooring. The room is air-conditioned, comfortable, clean and has fairly good facilities.
There is a working desk with a flat TV right in front of the bed.
A safety box, a mini-fridge, and a cabinet with enough shelves and drawers are provided.
Coffee and tea making facilities are available. Sachets of tea and coffee and bottled water are complimentary. Also complimentary is WIFI usage in the room.
The bed is very comfortable, with bedside tables on both sides.
The little extras like chocolates placed beside the bed are things that make a guest happy sometimes.
The washroom is quite spacious but the overlength shower curtain that is drawn around the cubicle looks a little messy.
There are a few features that are not commonly seen in other hotel washrooms like the stool and the double toilet bowls.
Basic toiletries are provided.
Our room comes with buffet breakfast which is served at Arco Restaurant.
There are not that many choices and the food is just satisfactory.
Guests without transport may have problem dining out as there are no restaurants in the vicinity.
Among the hotel facilities available are a bar (Arco Bar), a swimming pool, a fitness centre and a big lounge with many sets of sofas for its guests.
Everything about Double Tree is good to me except for its remote location. Overall my stay here is a pleasant one.
